Ribbon...Ribbon...How to use Ribbon?

One of the challenges for any stamper is to expand their  design "vocabulary" and include other design elements such as RIBBON to compositions.  It took me a while to understand ways to use ribbon.  Now it has become a favorite.

I was recently asked by a customer,  "how do I use ribbon?".

So today, I thought I would BLOG about RIBBON.  The first thing I did was go to my box of cards and choose those which I used ribbon which I could use a examples.  From that selection I came up with some DESIGN IDEAS for using ribbon which may be useful to your stamping.

I like to use ribbon as an ELEMENT to LAYER.  Here are some examples...

I also like to use ribbon as a border:

There are so many neat choices of RIBBON in the new Annual Catalog and I hope that you will find the possibilities and explore!  Here are some more examples...

I hope this gives you some ideas about how to incorporate ribbon into your design vocabulary.  I use it also when I want to add BURLAP, or a splash of GOLD or SILVER accented ribbon,  I also like to use it in pairs to tie in other colors from my composition.

I hope this give you some ideas and now you are ready to explore what the new catalog has to below to shop and scroll on for more inspiration!!!!

Happy Stamping!  Kat
